Columbia Business Monthly celebrates another year of honoring the state capital region’s most influential people. The selection of the 50 men and women on this list is the result of many hours of staff research as well as nominations from the community. These individuals have made important contributions to the Midlands through their work in the fields of hospitality, government, health care, nonprofits, education, and more. We’re honoring them particularly for the work they’ve done in the past 12 months.
We’re also celebrating our ninth year of selecting entrants to our Hall of Fame. This year, we’re adding eight new members, people who have made the 50 Most Influential list many times in years past and who continued to make a difference in their respective communities this year.
