Holt Chetwood

Holt Chetwood has worked in the banking industry for nearly 30 years, the last five at First Citizens Bank. In his current role as regional business executive, Chetwood supports retail, business and commercial banking across South Carolina. Prior to his joining First Citizens, Chetwood was Midlands market president at Wells Fargo. A graduate of Clemson University, Chetwood is an executive board member of the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce, and in 2025, he helped lead the chamber’s work around its Midlands Business Accelerator and Leadership Columbia programs. He also serves on the boards of Columbia Urban League and Central South Carolina Alliance, and he’s a past board member of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities. In 2012, Chetwood received the Outstanding Young Banker award from the South Carolina Banker’s Association, and in 2014, he received the United Way of the Midlands’ Alyce Kemp DeWitt Award, given for outstanding long-term service to the organization and the community. Asked about his favorite staycation, Chetwood said, “attending Basic Combat Training graduation on Hilton Field at Fort Jackson is an awesome experience. Seeing soldiers who have volunteered to serve our country celebrate this milestone with their families gave me a greater appreciation of their commitment and sacrifice.”
