I am a proud graduate of South Carolina State University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Growing up, I've always had interest in both building and fixing things. This played a huge role in my decision to become a construction project manager, which gives me the opportunity to do both. Since graduating and starting my career, I have quickly climbed the ranks and am now constructing a mission-critical project valued over $700M. A goal of mine is to not only manage contracts, but to also gain the knowledge and experience to manage the entirety of projects. As a South Carolina native, it means the world to me to be able to actively help develop our state as well as write our history. I am employed by Construction Dynamics Inc. which is a Black minority-owned company. We have been forfeited the opportunity to be the first SC-based, minority-owned general contractor to be a part of mission-critical projects for a confidential client.

Favorite Quote and Why: My favorite quote is "You don't fail until you quit" by Gordon B. Hinckley. This quote is a constant reminder to never give up, and to remain persistent and preserve through any obstacles, challenges or hardships that we will inevitably face in life.

Definition of a Successful Leader: My definition of a successful leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way. To be a leader, you have to have a clear vison and knowledge to guide others. You also have to take action and face challenges/share in the work of others, as well as lead by example.

Advice to 18-Year-Old Self: I would tell my 18-year-old self to walk through every door, into every room, like God himself invited you in. Be steadfast in remembering who you are and whose you are! Keep God first and remember that faith without works is dead. Put in the work, have faith in God, take risk, and face challenges head on, and know that everything you've ever endured/will endure will be worth it! It will mold you into a remarkable young man whom you should be very proud of.
