Landing Pad Program Manager

South Carolina Department of Commerce

Columbia

Age 32

I currently oversee the newly revamped Landing Pad Program at the South Carolina Department of Commerce, helping facilitate market entry for companies looking to establish an initial presence in the state through a small-scale operation. By connecting companies that are new to South Carolina with key resources and strategic partners, I help them minimize risk and accelerate growth. Prior to this role, I worked in communications and public relations, serving as a communications coordinator with the agency from 2021 to 2025. I began my career in the private sector, working for a full-service strategic communications firm. I am a 2016 graduate of the University of South Carolina.

Favorite Quote and Why: "When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.'" – Mr. Rogers. It's a reminder that we can all be helpers, whether it's a scary time or not. I try to be a helper, in little ways, every day.
